The Cat Butler Franchise

An introduction from Sandra James

I’ve always been an animal lover, and cats in particular, are my passion. I’ve grown up with them around, and, as an adult, I’ve always had feline companions in the house. They are more than pets to me - so much more - and it’s fair to say that, in my house, my role is to serve those cats. They want a chin rub - they let me know. They want to go outside - I’m on it! Want to be let back in thirty seconds later - let me get that door for you! I sometimes wonder whether I am a cat owner or staff!

The idea of The Cat Butler came about after I felt unable to go away on holiday - the thought of being away from my then cat Ziggy just broke my heart. There were many brilliant catteries nearby, but I just knew that Ziggy wouldn’t settle there. I also knew that having a neighbour, for example, pop in to feed him once a day just wasn’t enough. Ziggy, like many cats, thrived on routine and consistency - and that is exactly what The Cat Butler delivers.

While there are other cat sitting services out there, what makes The Cat Butler stand out is our focus on the customer - and I’m talking here about our feline customers. You don’t just book a Cat Butler online; our customers (the human ones, this time!) contact us, and we match them with the purr-fect cat sitter, who arrange to meet them and make friends with their cat. We get to know their routines, their special quirks and their requirements. If they need medication, that's fine too, as our cat sitters are specially trained to do this.

As word continues to spread, demand for The Cat Butler services is increasing, and we are looking for enthusiastic, cat-loving franchisees to join our team.

Think you've got what it takes? Then we'd love to hear from you!

The Cat Butler Franchise Questions

How much does The Cat Butler franchise cost?

The initial franchise fee costs £7,000 and includes a wealth of benefits, support and advice. We also recommend that you set some money aside to cover additional costs as part of the start-up process - we provide plenty of advice on this and can even help you raise finance if needed.

The ongoing support services provided to franchisees are funded from the management and marketing fees, both of which are paid monthly. Our ongoing fee structure is turnover related. We do not charge any fixed monthly fees. We grow together, providing the support required at each stage of your business development.

We want you to develop a profitable business that will enable you to generate an attractive level of personal income and have an increased capital value if you decide to sell the business at some point in the future.

The Cat Butler are like family to us and our cat. They are wonderfully dedicated to the health and well-being of our four-legged family addition, and go over and above to ensure she’s safe and loved when we’re away. Can’t recommend the service enough, and are always our first call. Thank you always!

Running a Cat Butler Franchise with your partner

If you decide to run a Cat Butler franchise with your partner then you will have the flexibility to fit your cat care and admin duties alongside your other hobbies and commitments.

Most clients are flexible about the times of day that our services are delivered so the business can be operated to suit you and your lifestyle and family commitments.

There is a high demand for The Cat Butler service, and you’ll get lots of repeat bookings and recommendations from existing clients. At times you may get so busy that you might have to turn away bookings, so you may consider recruiting cat carers to help.

School holidays are always busy but the rest of the year is busy too, as many people prefer to go away out of the school term and also for weekends away. Your family holidays will still be possible during the off-peak months. Your clients should be fine with this as long as you give them enough notice. Some clients will even plan their holidays around your availability!

The Cat Butler Franchise offers a fantastic business opportunity for couples who love cats
