Just days before the official launch of The Cat Butler Biggleswade, franchise owner Georgie Evans found herself doing what she loves most—helping cats in need. A call for help from Alma & Makko’s Furry Friends, a local rescue organisation, led Georgie to a mother cat and her four kittens who had taken shelter in a garden shed.

A heartbreaking post on Facebook highlighted the plight of a mother cat and her kittens facing an uncertain future. Sadly, one kitten had already been separated too soon, but Georgie was determined not to let the rest suffer the same fate.

These little ones were rescued just in time and are now on their way to a warm, loving future

The kittens, estimated to be no more than 5-6 weeks old, were still feeding from their mother, making their safety and care even more critical. Tragically, one had already been cruelly taken away, putting its life at risk and jeopardising its crucial social development at such a formative stage.

Despite repeated pleas from local rescue, Alma & Makko's Furry Friends, for the kitten to be returned, those appeals have been ignored, leaving deep concern for its welfare.

Determined to prevent any further harm, Alma & Makko's Furry Friends acted swiftly to secure a safe haven for the mother and her remaining kittens. Their quick response provided a vital lifeline, but the family still needed urgent transport to safety. That’s when Georgie stepped in—to collect, transport, and settle them into temporary care, ensuring they would be safe, warm, and looked after.

It was such a special moment,” said Georgie. “To be able to help these cats and know they were now safe—it reminded me exactly why I started this journey.

The foster carer who took them in shared how shy the kittens were at first—but with time, care, and love, they’ve grown into confident little adventurers. The mother cat, too, has blossomed in her new environment.

Safe and sound. This little family is now in loving temporary care

At The Cat Butler, caring for cats is more than just a job—it’s a calling. Georgie’s swift action is a perfect example of the values we live by every day: compassion, dedication, and a genuine love for our feline friends.

Since launching in Biggleswade and surrounding areas in Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire, Georgie has continued to offer professional in-home cat care services, ensuring cats can remain safe and stress-free in their own environment while their owners are away.

The Cat Butler Biggleswade remains proud to support the incredible work done by Alma & Makko’s Furry Friends. Their tireless efforts to help vulnerable animals deserve recognition—and a helping hand whenever possible.
