Stour Valley Cat Rescue in Stourbridge has been spreading the Christmas cheer with their festive fundraising events, and The Cat Butler Stourbridge has been proud to play a part!
Sharon, owner of The Cat Butler Stourbridge and a dedicated volunteer at the rescue, added some extra fun to the fundraising with a delightful ‘Name the Cat’ competition. Cat lovers were invited to guess the secret name of a cuddly plush cat nestled in a basket, with the winner taking home the adorable prize! All proceeds from the competition went directly to the rescue to help with the care of its many feline residents.
The Rescue kicked off its Christmas fundraising with a bustling jumble and bric-a-brac sale on 30th November. On 7th December, they hosted a highly successful Christmas Fair Fundraiser in Hagley. The event featured crafts, competitions, gifts, refreshments, and even musical entertainment, making it a festive day out for the whole family. Thanks to the incredible support of the local community, the fair raised vital funds to help care for the rescue’s cats.
Sharon’s efforts, combined with those of the dedicated team at Stour Valley Cat Rescue, have helped to support the rescue’s vital work. The centre is always in need of foster carers and forever homes for the many beautiful cats in its care, as well as volunteers to help with its daily operations.
If you’re in the West Midlands and thinking about adopting, fostering, or volunteering, why not consider Stour Valley Cat Rescue? As Sharon says, “Time spent with cats is never wasted!”
Thank you to everyone who supported these wonderful events – together, we’re making a difference for cats in need this Christmas!
