Alex went above and beyond what is expected from a cat sitter. His calming character and genuine interest in our cats during the pre-sit visit put our mind at rest immediately. There was no pressure to use the service, we were asked if we felt he was a good fit for us. The company web portal is a comprehensive tool to put all the detail about your cats and their habits.
The daily updates on WhatsApp including photos and videos of the cats eating made our time away stress free. When we got home late from holiday, the house was spotless. No fur on sofas or carpets and the kitchen was cleaner than when we left. He also watered our plants, so no panic to rehydrate the greenery on our return. Two of our three cats are nervous of strangers, and act a bit odd normally when we return. All three just greeted us like we’d only been in the city for a day. Don’t know how he did it!
So… Nottingham people… use the Cat Butler. Much better than removing them from their familiar environment. Very reasonable price for peace of mind and a great service. We are planning another trip soon, and will definitely use Alex for it.

Alex was brilliant. Our cat was well looked after, and our house too! We really appreciated the daily updates, videos and photos of our cat enjoying cuddles. Brilliant service, and well worth the money. I was really nervous about leaving my cats with a 'stranger' for the first time, but Alex immediately put us at ease. He was very thorough, asking plenty of questions about our cats; showing an interest in them and their personalities, and what they would need.
Whilst we were away, he gave us daily video updates which was reassuring, and he really went the extra mile to put our cats at ease. One of my cats is particularly skittish around new people, but by the end of the week, Alex had him coming up to him for fuss. I would definitely recommend The Cat Butler, and will be using Alex again.
