For Ferdi, proud owner of The Cat Butler Enfield, supporting local feline causes is central to running a caring cat sitting service.
Ferdi recently visited the RSPCA Central London Animal Hospital to present a fundraising cheque to the branch manager, supporting the vital work they do every day for animals in need.
However, what started as a routine charity visit quickly turned into a life-changing moment!
Knowing Ferdi had been quietly searching for a feline companion for her 2-year-old Siberian cat, Luca, the branch manager introduced her to a gentle rescue cat then known as Sasha.
Sasha had recently arrived at the RSPCA centre following the sudden loss of her previous owner.
Reflecting on meeting her for the first time, Ferdi shared:
"One look into her gorgeous blue eyes and hearing her heartbreaking story, I was completely smitten. We brought her home to foster for a short trial, but deep down, the decision was already made!"
It didn't take long for the new addition to settle into home life. She won over the whole family and received a warm welcome from Luca!
Her soft, moon-coloured fur inspired her new name: Luna.
"We are so grateful to the RSPCA for the incredible work they do every single day," says Ferdi. "Not only caring for animals in need, but also making perfect matches like this possible."
Whether you are away for a weekend or planning a longer holiday, Ferdi and The Cat Butler Enfield offer professional, stress-free, in-home cat care.
