Being part of The Cat Butler brand, it's a given that you have to be slightly mad about cats and with four spoiled cats sharing my home, it got me thinking about the cats that are not as fortunate as our own and how I could potentially help them.
Cats Protection is the UK's largest feline welfare charity and they help an average of 157,000 cats and kittens every year.
After a quick search of the volunteering opportunities on their website, I made inquiries and was put in touch with my local branch, Cats Protection Bolton Branch, and after an initial assessment, I was accepted into the training program for new volunteers.
The online training has been very informative and has given me great insight into how things will work with my role as a transport volunteer within Cat Protection.
I look forward to the next steps in becoming a Cats Protection volunteer and giving something back to cats and kittens in need.
