Not one, not two, but THREE fundraising events in aid of good causes for The Cat Butler Thame in June, with feline-friendly supPAWT from The Cat Butler Oxford & The Cat Butler SW Gloucestershire.

Four Paws Cat Rescue and The Oxfordshire Animal Sanctuary, who hosted their own fun-day events, were the beneficiaries and saw franchisees Sam Heggie (TCB Thame), Mark Mentiply (TCB Oxford), and Ally Fernandes (TCB SW Gloucestershire) hosting a Tombola and Wheel of (possible) Fortune stall to lend their support and help raise vital funds.

Over £450 Raised for Local Animals in Need

The events raised over £450 for the charities, helping fund the rescue and rehoming of hundreds of animals across the local area each year.

Sam Heggie, The Cat Butler Thame owner, explained:

“It’s important to give something back when I can. These two local charities working tirelessly across Bucks and Oxon to rescue and rehome cats, as well as other animals, are causes close to my heart.”

Commenting on The Cat Butler franchises joining forces, she said:

“It works fantastically well when we can team up, particularly with our ‘border buddy’ Mark in Oxford, who I’ve done fundraising activities with, and who shares the same philanthropic goals, enthusiasm and passion that I do.”

She added:

“Our clients truly are the best! We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who kindly donated an item for our fundraisers. We couldn’t have raised this amount of money without your incredible support.”

A Passion for Making a Difference

Commenting, Mark owner of The Cat Butler Oxford said:

“Helping such amazing charities is a no-brainer. As animal lovers (especially kitties), we find that working in the pet care sector gives us a platform to help not just the cats we look after but also other animals in need in the area. I really enjoy these events, and I'm so pleased that we can help.”

He added:

“I also would like to thank all the amazing support that my own customers have given (financially and in the form of prizes), which has added to the amount we have been able to raise. Working with Sam is brilliant. We both have a passion for making a difference to the lives of animals and join forces whenever we can. I am incredibly lucky to have a like-minded border buddy!”

Keep your eyes peeled for an update on the pair later in the year as they begin planning activities in the run-up to the Festive Season!
