At The Cat Butler, we understand the importance of building strong relationships within the local community. It’s one of the many ways our franchisees grow their businesses and raise brand awareness. That’s why we’re so excited to share the story of one of our own, Rachel, owner of The Cat Butler Tamworth, who has taken a proactive step to create a space for local pet professionals to connect.
When Rachel realised there wasn’t a suitable networking group in her area for those in the pet care industry, she didn’t wait for someone else to organise one—she created her own. Her new initiative, Paws to Connect, is designed to bring together pet professionals from Tamworth, Lichfield, Sutton Coldfield, Coleshill, and Atherstone. The first meet-up is set for Wednesday, 25th September at 5 pm at Christopher’s & The Peel Aldergate in Tamworth.
Networking is an essential part of growing any business, and for Rachel, it has been a key factor in establishing her presence as a franchisee with The Cat Butler. However, while searching for local networking groups tailored specifically to pet care professionals, Rachel found that nothing quite fit the bill. She saw an opportunity to create something new, something that would foster collaboration and community among those who share her passion for pets.
“Starting your own business can feel overwhelming, but building relationships with others in your industry makes a huge difference,” Rachel explains. “I wanted to create a space where pet professionals could meet, share knowledge, and support each other.”
Paws to Connect is open to anyone working in the pet care industry—whether you’re a cat sitter, dog groomer, pet photographer, run a pet supply store, and beyond. Rachel’s vision is to bring together like-minded professionals from across the region, allowing them to share insights, ideas, and build a supportive network to help grow their businesses.
The group will cover Tamworth, Lichfield, Sutton Coldfield, Coleshill, and Atherstone, providing a broad platform for professionals to connect with potential partners and collaborators.
The first meet-up is set to take place at Christopher’s & The Peel Aldergate, a welcoming venue in the heart of Tamworth. Attendees can look forward to an informal, relaxed environment where they can mingle, share experiences, and build connections. Whether you're just starting out or are an established business owner, this event will be a great opportunity to expand your network and find new ways to collaborate.
For new business owners like Rachel, local networking is crucial for building a brand and generating awareness in the community. It helps professionals stay informed about industry trends, fosters valuable partnerships, and opens doors to referrals and recommendations. By starting Paws to Connect, Rachel is not only building her own business but also helping others in the area do the same.
“I’ve seen firsthand how beneficial networking can be,” Rachel says. “It’s one of the best ways to spread the word about your business and get to know other professionals in your area. The pet care community is growing, and Paws to Connect will give us all a place to come together.”
If you’re a pet professional in Tamworth, Lichfield, Sutton Coldfield, Coleshill, or Atherstone, Paws to Connect is the perfect opportunity to meet others in the industry and build lasting connections. The first meet-up is on Wednesday, 25th September at 5pm at Christopher’s & The Peel Aldergate in Tamworth.
We look forward to seeing you there!
