What's In a Cat's Name?

As Cat Butlers, we have the pleasure of looking after over 200 cats in Derbyshire, and one of the first questions we ask new clients is: 'What are their names?'

A 2019 survey carried out by Cats Protection discovered the most popular name for a female cat is Polly and for a male cat is Charlie. The top spot for the most unusual name went to Archibald von Snugglemuffin! Choosing a moniker for your precious fur baby is a really important decision – do you name them after their personality, such as shy Hidey, Angel or even Naughty?! Or maybe after their appearance: Fluff (the name of our first cat), Tiger or Ginger?
