Cat Butler Jane lives in Selsey and is mum to a whole host of rescue cats - although she has one of her human offspring to thank for her new role; Jane’s son lives in Orpington, Kent, and uses the services of his local Cat Butler when he and his partner go away.
Knowing about his mum’s love of all things feline, and having experienced The Cat Butler service first hand, he suggested she’d make an amazing Cat Butler. Jane searched online and discovered that The Cat Butler Chichester had been launched by franchisee Julie Dunn earlier this year and, after an informal chat with Julie, started the process of becoming one of the team.
The Cat Butler Chichester now has a team of three Cat Butlers: Julie Dunn, her husband Keith and new recruit Jane. They are all vetted, trained and insured for everyone’s peace of mind but, as Julie points out, the starting point for being a Cat Butler is a genuine love of cats.
Julie said: “The business has been growing steadily since we launched at Easter and things got pretty busy in the summer, so I knew I needed to take on an extra pair of hands - but it couldn’t be just any pair of hands; it had to be someone as passionate about cats as I was and who would uphold the high standards that we’ve set ourselves. When Jane contacted me out of the blue and we met up for that initial cup of coffee, I just knew she was going to be a perfect fit - and I’ve been proved right!”
Jane will be serving kitty clients in the villages of the Manhood Peninsula - including Selsey, Bracklesham Bay, The Witterings, Sidlesham, Birdham and around to Bosham - although don’t be surprised to see her supporting her colleagues further afield in Chichester, Bognor Regis, Arundel and Littlehampton too.
