Reflecting on a Wonderful Summer at The Cat Butler Derby

As the crisp air of autumn settles in and the days grow shorter, it’s the perfect time for Clare and Jo, The Cat Butler Derby franchisees to reflect on the vibrant summer they've just had. From pampering cherished cats while their paw-rents were away to connecting their local cat-loving communities, they’ve had an incredibly fulfilling season that reminds them why they love what they do.

Jo and Clare Said:

"As we reach the middle of September, there’s a distinct autumnal feel in the air—making it a great time to look back on what has been a memorable summer of 2024. And what a summer it’s been! We’ve had the honour of caring for hundreds of cats, welcoming dozens of new clients into The Cat Butler Derby community along the way. From Hilton to Heanor, Willington to Waingroves, we’ve travelled across Derbyshire, meeting all sorts of wonderful felines—from Maine Coons to Manx, Tabbies to Torties. Each cat has been a joy to look after, and it’s always a privilege to be trusted with their care."

"Our summer adventures have taken us far and wide, as we’ve pampered cats whose paw-rents have been off exploring the world, from Australia and Canada to the USA and all over the UK. Whether their humans were at weddings, working, or in hospital, we’ve been there for their fur babies—rain or shine, day or night, offering care once or twice a day as needed."

"Alongside our daily visits, we were thrilled to have the opportunity to give back by fundraising for our favourite charity, Cats Protection. Taking part in the carnivals at Horsley Woodhouse and Little Eaton, we met so many lovely people who share our love for cats and are passionate about supporting these beautiful animals in need. "Of course, not all of our summer memories are happy ones. Sadly, we’ve had to say goodbye to some precious feline friends who have crossed the rainbow bridge. They remain forever in our hearts, where we hold treasured memories of the time we spent with them."
