Jenny, who lives in Byfleet had a 12-year career working in accounts in the estate agency/property sector and is now turning her hand to her cat care service for felines and their paw-rents across Addlestone, Chertsey, Cobham, Shepperton, Staines-upon-Thames, West ByfleetWeybridge and Woking in Surrey.

Commenting on why she chose to set up her premium cat sitting service, Jenny said: “I’ve always adored cats. When my husband and I first went on holiday in 2013, we had to put our late cat, Millie, into a cattery. When we returned home, we vowed never again as she was obviously upset about it; miaowing and being clingy for quite a while afterwards.

“Since then we’ve either had friends or cat sitters to look after our adopted cats as it felt best for them; they truly are happiest at home. I often look after friends’ cats when they’re away and it got me thinking as to whether I could turn my passion for cats into a business.”

Talking about her own feline family, Jenny said: “We’d lost Millie in 2019 and our hearts were broken but we decided as a family we were ready to look to adopt a new cat, so we’d started to visit rescue centres. A friend knew we were looking, and shared Hadley’s (Jenny’s adopted cat) story with us via social media.

“When we first went to meet Hadley through Hounslow Animal Rescue Society (HAWS), she’d had a bit of a rough start in life so was hiding under a bed. We enticed her out to meet us with the help of some treats (of course), and just fell in love with her!

“Hadley loves being the sole cat in the family and has really thrived since we adopted her. She’s playful and loving - under her own terms of course, and she still loves treats! She absolutely rules the roost!”

Having only launched her business on  24th June 2024, Jenny is looking forward to sharing her love of cats with customers in the local area: “I’m so excited for this new chapter of my life and I’m looking forward to getting the business off the ground, providing a vital service in my area to help other feline-friendly households to be able to go away with peace of mind that their precious cats will be looked after, and cared for, in the familiarity, and safety, of their own homes.”

She added: “It’s going to be hard work, but I’m really excited about it and am looking forward to meeting my clients and their beloved cats.”
