It’s been a year since Phil Carter joined The Cat Butler family as a franchisee in Rossendale, Lancashire, and his impact on the local cat community has been remarkable. From the outset, Phil has demonstrated exceptional dedication, not only to his clients' cherished pets but also to cats in need throughout the region.
Phil's commitment to feline welfare is evident through his active volunteer work with Cats Protection, the UK's leading feline welfare charity. In this role, he assists in transporting and caring for vulnerable cats, ensuring they reach safe environments and have the opportunity for loving futures. His participation in the "Miles for Moggies" challenge, where he hiked to raise essential funds for Cats Protection, further underscores his dedication to supporting their life-saving efforts.
Beyond his volunteer work, Phil has been instrumental in community initiatives. He collaborated with local craftswoman Aileen Lockhart to support English Barn Cats Rescue in Lancashire. Aileen created beautiful handmade Christmas wreaths to raise funds and awareness for the rescue. Phil facilitated this endeavour by collecting the wreaths from Aileen and delivering them to purchasers, ensuring the initiative's success.
Phil's generosity extends to supporting Kitty Rescue Bury, a non-profit organisation dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming cats in need. He has contributed raffle prizes and materials to aid in building warm winter shelters for stray and feral cats, providing them with safe havens during the colder months.
In addition to these efforts, Phil has donated materials for cat shelters, directly contributing to the welfare of feral cats in the community. His support has been vital in helping these cats find safety and comfort.
Please join us in celebrating Phil’s first year with The Cat Butler. His unwavering commitment, compassion, and proactive approach have made him a cornerstone of his community. Thank you, Phil, for your outstanding contributions to the well-being of our feline friends and the people who care for them. Here’s to many more years of making a positive difference!
