Sharon Bonner, from West Molesey, who has had a 30-year career in the fragrance and cosmetic industry, will be offering her premium cat care service to felines and their human paw-rents across Greater London & Surrey, from Monday 9th October.
Sharon, explains why it’s now time to make a change: “I’ve spent over three decades working in the fragrance and cosmetic industry which has been amazing, and I wouldn’t have changed a thing, but I knew that the company that I had worked with for 24 years would be closing as its owners retire, so the time had come to think of myself and my future dreams and aspirations.
“For many years I commuted into London, but then during lockdown working from home became the norm - and I loved it! I was able to be with my two cats (Bertie and Gertie, both 16) and had a much better work/life balance, I really didn’t want to go back to the daily slog so I decided to do something that I’d love instead and that would guarantee lots of purrs and cuddles.”

She added: “I’ve always had cats since I was a child. One of my first memories was of getting our two rescue kittens, they had been found in a bucket which had filled with water after a storm and were super lucky to be found. The little boy was called Willy, and it turned out that he was totally blind, the love that he gave was proof that with a little effort from owners, every cat deserves the chance to live a full and happy life. His sister, a beautiful boisterous ginger and white fluff ball called Sandy, was his partner in crime and seemed to encourage him to try and be a minx!”
Commenting on the launch of The Cat Butler, Sharon said: “You’re either a cat person or you’re not and I most definitely am! I can’t wait to start getting out and about in the local community. I want my clients to feel confident and without anxiety when they leave their fur babies in my capable hands, with the understanding that I really do know how they feel."
